Grenoble-Alpes Métropole
Grenoble-Alpes Métropole (GAM) is an urban public authority gathering 49 Municipalities and 450,000 inhabitants in the heart of the Alps. GAM is acting on behalf of its municipalities on the main fields of local policies: environmental services (waste, water, energy), economic development, housing, planning, professional integration and many more.
Their role in SOLSTICE
Within SOLSTICE, Grenoble-Alpes Métropole is in charge of the competences of waste management (from collection to treatment) and economic development.
In this frame, GAM has decided to develop a circular economy strategy linking economic development and waste management. GAM, as a leader, will be mainly involved in the 5R approach: Refuse/Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Repurpose and for developing a Pilot Demonstrator.
